Week 13 and 14

WHAT I LEARNED

This week I learned that when I am close to finishing something, Satan will through a million things at me to try to discourage me from accomplishing my goals. With the holiday season upon us, we also have one son who loves to wrestle, and it is his first full wrestling season. Which takes up all of Saturdays and another evening. Our youngest daughter is very good with music and has had several performances. It was our missionary sons 20th birthday this past week. To top it all off, our 22 year old daughter got engaged last week, and is planning to get married in about two months. Doable, yes... A lot to handle on top of my normal mom  and wife jobs, and my busy 2nd counselor in the Primary Presidency calling, most definitely. Tomorrow, we start dress shopping with my daughter, them more wedding planning and Christmas. So, I made the decision that I was going to do my very best to finish ALL of my semester in bot of my classes today. There has been tornado sirens going off. Husband's buddy that he is hunting with ended up in the ER. He is all good now, but to say Satan is trying to discourage me is an understatement. However through both my Book of Mormon and Introduction classes, I knew that I could finish through faith, prayers and determination.

WHAT I STILL HAVE TO LEARN

I have been working to prepare most of this semester to start the new year off on a journey, to learn how to follow the plan on how to become Financially Free. I am excited to start this with my family, and am happy to say, that in just the preparing stage, we have made huge improvements.

Week 5 of my Entrepreneurial Journey

WHAT I LEARNED I feel as though I am being tested to see how badly I want this! Will I be like Erica Mills (*a), and take every opportunity, good and bad to learn and grow? Will I just say, "I am a mom and wife and that is where I need to be", and push my entrepreneurial journey aside? This isn't even a real question to me after this week! We have had two very unexpected deaths occur in the past week. One was a very beloved lady in our ward. Seemingly very healthy, and this news came as a huge shock to all who knew her. Glee lived her namesake, that's for sure. The other happened just a few days later. My husband's uncle had just spent two weeks with his daughter and their family, before traveling cross country to live with his sister and brother in law. He did not make it. He was found face first on the side of the road by a trucker. Again, young, healthy and a complete shock. The next huge event was one we have been dealing with for a couple of months now. We de...

My Journey continues with week 6

The reality is, this week stunk so bad! My family has had so many trial lately, as have some of our best friends. Plus everyone in our house was sick a couple of days. I found myself very thankful for a light week with school. On top of it all, I rolled my right ankle so badly, that the outside was swollen to the size of a softball....

Week 11

11-27-21 WHAT I LEARNED This week was a crazy busy, yet very blessed Thanksgiving week. My favorite part about this week was by far reading "Formula for Success", by Thomas S. Monson. The part the stood out to me the most was the following; "From those parables I would like to suggest that if we are really to be, a chosen generation, we have the responsibility to be prepared, to be productive, to be faithful, and to be fruitful as well........" He goes on to explain how we are to accomplish this. He says; "First, f...
