                                                                                                                         11-27-21 WHAT I LEARNED This week was a crazy busy, yet very blessed Thanksgiving week. My favorite part about this week was by far reading "Formula for Success", by Thomas S. Monson. The part the stood out to me the most was the following; "From those parables I would like to suggest that if we are really to be, a chosen generation, we have the responsibility to be prepared, to be productive, to be faithful, and to be fruitful as well........"                                    11-6-21 WHAT I LEARNED I Loves this week on so many levels. I feel like it was a much needed break from so many tough weeks in a row.  To top it off, I got to study an AMAZING talk by one of my FAVORITE Prophets President Gordon B. Hinckley. The talk is titled, "Stand True and Faithful".  One of my favorite parts was the following, "Be true to yourselves, my dear friends. Be true to one another,  your friends and associates. Look for the good in those about you, and emphasize that good.  Never go around gossiping about your associates or speaking unkind words concerning them. Such words will only backfire to hurt you. What an amazing week of learning for myself. I personally LOVE learning how things of the gospel  interact with our lives. For me, the gospel is just part of me now.                                                                                                                                              10-23-21 WHAT I LEARNED I would like to say that this week was a phenomenal one and that I learned a ton. The reality is, this week stunk so bad! My family has had so many trial lately, as have some of our best friends. Plus everyone in our house was sick a couple of days. I found myself very thankful for a light week with school. On top of it all, I rolled my right ankle so badly, that the outside was swollen to the size of a softball....

WHAT I LEARNED I feel as though I am being tested to see how badly I want this! Will I be like Erica Mills (*a), and take every opportunity, good and bad to learn and grow? Will I just say, "I am a mom and wife and that is where I need to be", and push my entrepreneurial journey aside? This isn't even a real question to me after this week! We have had two very unexpected deaths occur in the past week. One was a very beloved lady in our ward. Seemingly very healthy, and this news came as a huge shock to all who knew her. Glee lived her namesake, that's for sure. The other happened just a few days later. My husband's uncle had just spent two weeks with his daughter and their family, before traveling cross country to live with his sister and brother in law. He did not make it. He was found face first on the side of the road by a trucker. Again, young, healthy and a complete shock. The next huge event was one we have been dealing with for a couple of months now. We de...

 Week 4 WHAT I HAVE LEARNED I have had a super crazy past few weeks as I have been learning to adjust to being a college student, mom, wife, sick kids, and all sorts of craziness. I have learned that no matter how crazy my life is, as I keep the Savior the center of my life, and do my best to keep my core values, everything works out. I have read most of the Launching Leaders book in the past ten days. I do not know why I waited so long. I LOVE this book so much! I have been really focusing on my core values. Not that these haven't been my same core values for some time now. However, making sure that I focus on them, has certainly been a gentle reminder of the Lord's love for me. The joy in my heart is so powerful. I am finding that as I serve others despite the fact that I know I have homework, the Lord is thankful for my service and keeping my core values, and is blessing me with the ability to accomplish my homework, and stress free at that.
