WHAT I HAVE LEARNED

WOW! What an amazing week of learning for myself. I personally LOVE learning how things of the gospel  interact with our lives. For me, the gospel is just part of me now. However, after reading this article, I was able to more fully see how owning or running a successful and honorable business really comes down to having good morals, and learning to love and respect other's, even when we don't quite understand how they are. The seven habits, in order as they were shared in the article are first, to be proactive. (*A) Second is to "Begin with the end in mind". (*B) Third is to "Put first things first" (*C). Forth on the list is to think "win/win". (*D) Continuing forward with the fifth which is, "Seek first to understand, then to be understood". (*E) Then we get to number six, which is to "synergize". (*F) Finally habit number seven is to "sharpen the saw". (*G) As I read all the details in this it helped me to recognize that everyone is different. We need to work hard to understand others, as well as ourselves. Don't be quick to judge. Keep our core values, all while trying to figure out our priorities outside of our core values. Then focusing on what is "Important and Non -Urgent", as to keep up with maintenance, and causes much less stress. (*H)

WHAT I HAVE YET TO LEARN

The most important thing to me in the course thus far, that I feel I still need to work on understanding better, to be successful in all of life is Financial Freedom.

Week 5 of my Entrepreneurial Journey

WHAT I LEARNED I feel as though I am being tested to see how badly I want this! Will I be like Erica Mills (*a), and take every opportunity, good and bad to learn and grow? Will I just say, "I am a mom and wife and that is where I need to be", and push my entrepreneurial journey aside? This isn't even a real question to me after this week! We have had two very unexpected deaths occur in the past week. One was a very beloved lady in our ward. Seemingly very healthy, and this news came as a huge shock to all who knew her. Glee lived her namesake, that's for sure. The other happened just a few days later. My husband's uncle had just spent two weeks with his daughter and their family, before traveling cross country to live with his sister and brother in law. He did not make it. He was found face first on the side of the road by a trucker. Again, young, healthy and a complete shock. The next huge event was one we have been dealing with for a couple of months now. We de...

My Journey continues with week 6

10-23-21 WHAT I LEARNED I would like to say that this week was a phenomenal one and that I learned a ton. The reality is, this week stunk so bad! My family has had so many trial lately, as have some of our best friends. Plus everyone in our house was sick a couple of days. I found myself very thankful for a light week with school. On top of it all, I rolled my right ankle so badly, that the outside was swollen to the size of a softball....

Week 11

11-27-21 WHAT I LEARNED This week was a crazy busy, yet very blessed Thanksgiving week. My favorite part about this week was by far reading "Formula for Success", by Thomas S. Monson. The part the stood out to me the most was the following; "From those parables I would like to suggest that if we are really to be, a chosen generation, we have the responsibility to be prepared, to be productive, to be faithful, and to be fruitful as well........" He goes on to explain how we are to accomplish this. He says; "First, f...
