My Entrepreneurial Journey Week 2 9-25-21
WHAT I LEARNED
This has been a rough week. We found out some bad things happened in our family. Not our immediate family, but closely related. It has taken a toll on our family emotionally as we help other family members navigate through their feelings. We also had an unexpected death in the family, and on top of it all, I started my (insert bad descriptive word here) this week. Which means heightened emotions, bad headaches and excruciating cramps. So to say the least, school work was not in any sort of order, other than trying really hard to get it done on time, and with good effort. I took a lot of notes, and would like to say that I remember them. However, I have had to go back and look at them quite a bit. I did however, learn some fun things about myself. I learned that I haven't gone too far off of my career path of choice that I had as a child. When I was young, I always wanted to be a teacher, or a writer. In taking a career test I learned that a lot of the career paths that coincide with my passions and desire for my family have to do with teaching in some sort or another. I never would have thought to even contemplate becoming an Adult Literacy Instructor. I am super excited to dive a lot more into this career choice, as well as my next two choices of becoming a Writer or Author, and also Social Media Specialist.(*A)
My favorite new random fact that I learned this week and have shared with my husband and daughter is how WD 40 got its name. Which is W- Water, D- Displacement, 40 because Thomas Jefferson tried and failed 39 times to make the correct formula, but succeeded on his 40th try. (*B)
WHAT I STILL NEED TO LEARN
I am really finding that as I study about Stars and Steppingstones that I am fascinated by this. I am excited to dive further into this course and this concept to learn more about myself and the career paths that fit my personality and desires. I still have several terms to learn, like Protagonist, synthesize, and haphazard.
